  1. should i ? says:

the ciggrete lighter is most probably a blown fuse , check your fuse box/…….knocking noise in the airconditioning is tbecause that your car is out of fereon ! , try refilling it , and if it has a liqiud coolant , then tthas what ran out…..

I’m not sure about the A/C i don’t think it’s related to the cigarrette lighter not working. More than likely the lighter is out because a fuse was blown.. ( you might need to look in the car manuel to find out where to change the blown fuses). the air conditioner is probably low on freon so you’ll need to go to a mechanic for that.

If the lighter works and then doesn’t work, it’s NOT a fuse. It’s either a shorted or an open circuit, which could result in your car catching fire and burning to the ground, which would probably be best for all of us.

Check the fuse for the lighter. refer to your owners manual.
As for the ac you may be low on coolant . most cars 1995 and newer have R134a systems. You can buy a refill kit at your local auto parts store for $20-$30. get one with a gauge and follow the instructions!. good luck!
